Nests#
In Age of Jura, all animals belong to a nest. Each nest can only support a certain number of animals at once.
Dinosaurs will hatch from an egg at random intervals, usually within 10 seconds.

When one of the animals is attacked, the entire group connected to that nest feels threatened. After some time, one of the surviving animals may decide to create a new nest nearby.
Selecting a nest (of which an animal has been attacked) will now show more details if and when it's going to expand.
If you select a nest that has recently been attacked, you’ll see additional details - including whether and when it will expand.

You can use this behavior to your advantage by encouraging dinosaurs to create more nests.
More nests mean more opportunities to hunt and gather meat and skin. However, be careful - if left unchecked, the dinosaurs can easily overrun your village.
